Job Description Of Advertising Sales Manager
The Manager of Advertising Sales position has direct oversight of planning and managing the overall sales and marketing for clients. The intention is to achieve optimal occupancy growth in existing accounts and generating new business all to maximize total revenue and meet/exceed radio profit objectives. This role will oversee day-to-day operations of the promotion/advertising division including but not limited to direct sales efforts follow-up and proper sales administration and training. This role will ultimately create and organize the sales forecast for marketing and advertising sales plans programs and annual budget; manages within approved plans and budgets. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Job Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in any corporate sales position.
• Creative and flexible thinker with the ability to devise new options to suit clients.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to network.
• Experience producing and delivering professional sales presentations.
• Customer focus with the ability to build credibility and rapport over the phone and in person.
• Strong co-ordination and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets and manage multiple projects.
Job Requirements
• Travel will be needed, to include sales development trips and managing the sponsor/exhibitor experience at the event.
• Prospect for qualified local and regional businesses.
• Accurately project revenues, meet and exceed monthly budgets for all product lines and overachieve annual budgets.
• Reach decision makers, set meetings, analyze client needs, and create and deliver compelling & strategic advertising presentations that address client objectives.
• Maintain sales operations.
• Sales team skills development.
• Monitor the market and competitor entities and activities.
• Offer clients a “multi-channel” digital and print branding program that puts businesses in front of the local audiences they serve.
