Introducing Kayo Da Konspiracy

With an incomparable hustle, determined grit, and founded values, Corey Knight began a journey anew - as, Kayo Da Konspiracy. The Missouri City native, Ridgemont 4, to be exact; is that needle in a haystack you have heard about. The only thing is, he isn't hard to find. Like any needle, you just have to spot the shining glare. With Kayo, that glare is his ear for an instrumental, an evocation of a prudent story-teller, and the style of a cultures' originator breed. Take all of that, and add a pinch of gumption and will power - Kayo verged on creating something bigger than himself. HIREnt.

Not only did he take on a team, he started label of opportunity. The roster for HIREnt. is precedence. With talent across the board, Kayo has taken his crowned jewel to a height of new wonders. His friends are his family. His family are the artists under the HIREnt. ladder. Those artists share the same distinct love for a cultures' moreso-lost, yet, always respected. He has a gift of true perception for music, for the artistry, for his vision, and for his camp. Don't believe the words you are reading, open up a new tab and Google - Kayo Da Konspiracy. The reputable artist, label owner, and entrepreneur has made a direct name for himself straight with consumer - and he is far from done. Scroll down and take a gander at what he himself has in store next.

Q:   WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOUR STARTING LINE IN MUSIC?

Well, that's a good question. I would say my starting line for music came in 2013-2014, that's when I actually took it serious. I was rapping before, but never done a show or actually recorded any full length projects on my own. Before then, I would just be apart of rap crews. I would views these crews though as my preseason tryouts. During those times, I was just sharpening my skills and my pen. I would freestyle battle to get my lyricism right and on point. I always had the battle mentality, even as a youth, hell, my dad tells me all the time my first words was OPP. You could say I been rapping since an infant, but professionally 2013-2014 is when things became serious.

Q:   YOUR WORK ETHIC IS TRULY ASTOUNDING, TO SAY THE LEAST; WHAT DRIVES THE GRIND YOU HAVE SET THE BAR FOR?

Well, music was something I always was passionate for. I felt I wasn't ever great in anything else, but rapping, writing poetry, and telling stories. Therefore, I wanted to put my all into something I felt I was great at. I always wanted to go full-time with my career and once 2019/2020 rolled around, I did just that right when Covid first hit. I was already prepping my mind and creating my sales pitch long before it came. My job at the time furloughed me, and invited me back to work a month later. When they called I declined the offer of returning and went to the streets to begin selling my debut album. Once I took the fear of stability away and what society deems as successful, my wings spread and I set the bar for myself to no longer be confined by social restraints.

Q:   YOUR STYLE IS FOR TODAY'S ERA. NOSTALGIA WITH A TON OF CORPOREALITY WORDPLAY. WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?

My creative process always starts with the instrumentation, my emotions and feelings, and sometimes what other people may be going thru. I also strive off of creativity. I strive off of creating something new and manipulating words. I strive off of people genuinely connecting with my music. Therefore, I write out my records before I even hit the studio. That way I can knock out about 4-5 records in a hour and allow Derryk, my engineer to do what he specializes in in his own space.

Q:   WITH THE CAPABILITIES YOU HAVE AS AN MC AND YOUR FLOW'S CADENCE, WHO ARE SOME ARTISTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH?

I'd love to work with a Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Jadakiss, Nas, Jay-Z, Slick Rick, Rakim, Pusha T, Benny the Butcher, Joyner Lucas, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Marqus Clae if we're talking on a major level. On the local level, I'd love to work with the likes of a Retrokash, Dinero Sinatra, Rob Gullatte, Z-Ro, and Bun B. There's some others, but can't think their names at this particular time. I feel collaborating is highly important. Alot of artist gloat about not having features on their project, which isn't difficult to do in my opinion. I just feel you can bring more elements to the music when you have unique voices outside of your own on your projects. Rather it's just a hook, bridge, or a verse. It adds a different tone to a record and sheds light on more than just yourself.

Q:   THE MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL TOLL CAN BE DWELLING. ASIDE FROM MUSIC, DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER ESCAPES FOR DEALING WITH LIFE?

I love spending time with my daughter, she's my escape. She really puts a whole new meaning of life into my life! I'm grateful that the most high blessed me with such an amazing child. I also have began gardening, and learning about the Hebrew Israelites faith. Now, I spend time watching IUIC videos and learning about our true nationality instead of being called black/negro. Having a sense of royal identity has changed my life and taught me I'm more than just a MC.

"HIREXPERIENCE '24!"

Q:   YOU ARE ON-STAGE OFTEN, WITH YOUR PERFORMANCES, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THE AUDIENCE TO TAKE FROM YOU?

I'd ove for them to see me as the definition of hip-hop/rap. Love for them to gravitate to my creativity on the stage. I want them to view me as a dedicated performer who's set out to give them the best show possible.

Q:   YOUR FANBASE GROWS EVERYDAY BECAUSE OF A UNIQUE TACTIC. TELL US ABOUT THE JOURNEY OF CD'S AND PARKING LOT FLOWS.

Well, with my hand to hand journey, I just wanted to make a point that physical copies isn't going anywhere. Sure, we live in a digital age, but I view differently. I still listen to CD's and vinyls myself due to me knowing that sometimes phones crash, computers crash, and so on. I always wanted a personal relationship with the listeners I would garner. There's no better way to do that then to get up close and personal with the people. Be in their face. Be in their communities. That's what keeps me going. Rather it's going door to door or being outside a shopping center. I have to make all things an experience for the people!

Q:   YOUR TRACK 'BADMAN' HAS REACHED NATIONAL HEIGHTS. HOW DOES IT FEEL SEEING/HEARING YOUR MUSIC ON THE UFC PLATFORM?

Man, honestly that was a surreal moment for me. I never thought I'd have that kind of reach. I really owe a lot of that to Juan Adams! He really helped elevate that record when he came out to it at the Toyota Center! I still get chills when I see and hear the song blaring thru the stadium speakers. Definitely a major highlight of my life!

Q:   CRAK-A-MERKIA | TOP 5 | KONFLICTED ADDICTIONS | BLVCKFVCE. ALL CLASSICS! WHAT'S NEXT? WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR VAULT?

Currently have Cinema 6 dropping in March! March 1st. 6PM. Right after The Cinema 6 Show! I also have 80s Made in stored! Nothin'2Luv and two group projects with my producer Zeke "LP" Lopez
